I believe this is a descriptive image because it shows a sign indicating a set of directions or a message for others to follow. This description is meant for others to read and interpret, so I classified this image as a descriptive photo.

Explanatory: By Rachel Krams

This is an explanatory image because in this photo, you can see a demonstration of how to heat up soup using a portable boiler. The photo captures my brother pouring a can of soup into a boiler in order to heat it up, and my placement of holding my own cup of soup shows how I was able to enjoy a meal using this object. The explanation of how to use the boiler and the final result is captured in this photo.

This is an Aesthetically Evaluative photo because it is visually appealing, and captures an excellent photo using a variety of different features such as lighting and perspective. These combined make this an aesthetically pleasing photo.

Ethically Evaluative By: Linh Yoshimura

I selected this photo as an Ethically Evaluative photograph because this image captures an elderly woman injured by a U.S.-Vietnamese air strike on a being carried to be taken care of. This photo fits this category because it demonstrates a sense of patriotism and pride towards helping another individual in need of support or care.

Theoretical By: Remedios Varo

Because this piece features elements of conceptual art, I find that it falls under the Theoretical category of art. It is not a traditional photo, it includes elements of photography mixed with modern creativity and alterations that allow for us to view this piece theoretically.
