For this assignment, I chose this as my most successful photo because I believe my work and efforts in capturing the essential "instructions" for making soup on top of a mountain were able to be represented in this photo I took of my brother making soup for us after skiing. It was challenging to try and capture every step of the process in the form of a tutorial through a singular photo, however I think this was my best piece for this assignment because I could capture all the different steps needed in one photo. In the future, I will incorporate different steps and elements into one photo to represent multiple items or actions at a time.
Hi Rachel, I think this image successfully captures the realities of outdoor weather while skiing on a mountain. As a viewer, I am drawn to feel the warmth of the soup in the cold winter air. My suggestions for making this image more appealing would be cropping the image down to focus more on the soup instruction process. You might also try focusing on the soup mug in your hand as an alternative version, although your choice in focus really captures the explanatory category well! - Keely McKenna
